AThe Argory Christmas Fair
This weekend we will be celebrating one of our favourite Christmas traditions – the Argory “Christmas Fair”. With exciting and beautiful winter wonderlands to discover, Christmas fairs to enjoy, festive entertainment, delicious ciders and mince pies, The Argory has it all wrapped up.
Local Food and Drink
Saturday and Sunday will see huge crowds flocking to the beautiful National Trust property. This year the courtyard will have over 45 craft food, drink and gift stalls, all selling locally produced and festive goods. From chutneys to fudges, meats and cheese, honey and soda bread and loads more. We will be there with our delicious local ciders – Traditional Dry, Medium and Plum & Ginger Cider, so come along to taste them and say hello! These ciders are made just 3 miles away, from our own apples in Ardress, so very local indeed!
Family Fun
The Argory is a fantastic National Trust House built in the 1820s, surrounded by 320 acres of wooded riverside estate. There will be house tours throughout the weekend. Local tour guides will be providing information and highlighting stories about the MacGeogh Bond family and the wonderful house collections. These include a Steinway piano and the barrel organ. For those up for a crisp afternoon wake-up, why not try the Lime Tree walk or take a stroll around the delightful gardens. The second hand book shop and the Café are must-sees too! The National Trust gift shop will also be open, full of gorgeous gifts and treats for all the family.
A fun filled weekend ahead – a great day out for all the family, plenty of activities for kids and delicious treats for the adults. No better way to spend a December weekend.
