Instagramers host #IgersDublinFest sponsored by Mac Ivors Cider Co

When Instagram was launched in 2010 it added yet another dimension to how we can document what we are most passionate about.

In our case we document the journey of our great tasting Irish craft ciders as Sarah travels around Ireland (@MacIvorsCider).

This social networking app for sharing photos and videos from smartphones has created a platform where we like and comment on the photographs which best capture our attention.

We love Instagram so it was very fitting for us to sponsor a very cool exhibition recently in Dublin hosted by ‘Instagramers Dublin’ – the biggest mobile photography community in the city.

These guys are organising events all of the time in Dublin where they show off the photography of local artists and Instagramers.

The exhibition, #IgersDublinFest, was an exhibition of 11 artists’ photography at The Tara Building – a space for creative energy to be translated into impactful, exciting work.

The pictures on display were fantastic with each artist featuring almost a dozen images of Dublin.

Included at the exhibition was an ‘Insurgents Exhibition’ – a photo story about the street protests in Venezuela. This element of the exhibition highlighted the importance of social media as their people use social platforms to tell their story – #SOSVzla

There was a photo installation in aid of Pieta House too called ‘Darkness into Light’.

We were delighted to be there with our Plum and Ginger Cider which, as always, went down a treat for the Connector talks and was a perfect match for the Venezuelan Street food from Arepas Grill – Gluten free corn bread. Candlewood Bakery weas selling delicious gluten free, dairy free sweet treats and Bliss DJs were keeping the vibe going with some very chilled out tunes.

The Instagramers were lapping up the Connector talks. Greg Fry was talking about personal branding, Mei Ling Tong and Ivan Adriel spoke about Influencer Marketing and finally Giovana Marques talking about Aesthetics of the Future.

Sarah loved being at this exhibition and we were delighted to sponsor it. The building itself is a fantastic space for these kind of events.

IgersDublin will be organising more events in the future for different neighbourhoods of Dublin so keep an eye out for them. Really cool, creative people showing off fantastic talent.
