IT’S not very often you get to get into the grounds of a private abbey but this weekend the owners of Tynan Abbey in Co Armagh are opening up their stunning grounds for ‘A Picnic At The Abbey’.
This is such a fantastic setting and we are delighted to be going along to showcase our great tasting Irish craft ciders at this event which is expected to attract huge crowds from far and wide.
Sarah will be there with our Traditional Dry Cider, Medium Cider and Plum and Ginger Cider so watch out for Pedro. There will also be lots of other stall holders there – some food and drink alongside lots of creative people with their arts and crafts.
This is a family and friends day out where people are invited to bring their own picnics and enjoy the grounds of this well known abbey.
Peter Mant, the estate manager, will be hosting three walking tours of the estate, there will also be nature trails for children, lots of children’s activities, an exhibition of sports cars, a display by the Austin Vintage Club and a man with his birds of prey which children and adults just love. There is also a little train which will take children on train rides up and down the avenue.
And for those of you who fancy staying on there’s a Barn Dance later in the evening with food and light refreshments.
The Picnic at the Abbey tickets cost £5 and the Barn Dance is £10.
Sarah will be delighted to see you all there so go along and say hello.
A huge thank you to everyone who came to visit us at the Belfast Craft Beer Festival. It was such a brilliant four days and everyone got a real taste of the great tasting brews produced here.
See you at Tynan Abbey!
