For a great day out this Saturday look no further than The Argory Good Food Market. We will be sampling and selling our delicious Irish ciders. Mac Ivors Cider is made just 4 miles away in Ardress – now that really IS local!
Family Fun
The Argory is a fantastic National Trust House built in the 1820s and surrounded by 320 acres of wooded riverside estate. On Saturday there will be house tours. Local tour guides will be providing information and highlighting stories about the MacGeogh Bond family and the wonderful house collections. These include the Steinway piano and the barrel organ. For those after a crisp afternoon wake-up, why not try the Lime Tree walk or take a stroll around the delightful gardens. The second hand book shop and the Café are must-sees too! The National Trust gift shop is also open, full of gorgeous gifts and treats for all the family.
Local Food and Drink
Along with many local artisan food and drink stalls, Mac Ivors Cider will be set up in the Courtyard. There is something for everyone at the Good Food Fair. From chutneys to fudge, meats and cheeses, honey and soda bread and lots more home grown produce. Taste your way around our local cuisine. You won’t be disappointed!!
You will be able to sample our 3 delicious local ciders on the day – Traditional Dry Cider, Medium Cider and Plum & Ginger Cider. All 3 of our ciders will be available for sale to take home.
Cookery Demonstrations
The Market will also be hosting two special cookery demos from Uluru Bar & Grill in Armagh Chef Christopher Black and The Moy Larder Owner Sheena Kelly. Chris will be preparing a main dish and dessert showcasing local ingredients. Sheena will show us how to make fresh pasta, highlighting the difference in quality between fresh and dried pasta. Visitors will also get the chance to taste what’s being cooked up too!
This is a great day out for all the family, plenty of activities for kids and delicious treats for adults. What better way to spend a Saturday!
