This weekend we are off to the Dalriada Festival where Sarah will be ducking and diving hoping she’s not going to be mistaken for someone’s wife.
For the first time ever, Northern Ireland will witness the Wife Carrying Championships at this magical festival which also boasts food, drink, live music and yes – men carrying their wives.
Sarah will hopefully be safely in situ in the NI Good Food tent with lots of other fantastic producers where she will be showcasing our great tasting Irish craft ciders – Traditional Dry Cider, Medium Cider and Plum and Ginger.
Have you been to Dalriada Festival before? If not – come along this weekend along with the estimated 30,000 people who will be at this magical event set at Glenarm Castle as the spectacular backdrop. It’s a quality event with so much going on.
It attracts families from all over and is fast becoming one of Ireland’s most popular family festivals.
Festivals such as Dalriada Festival are brilliant and Sarah and Greg embrace them so much because we love getting to chat with our customers face to face as well as chatting with other producers. We totally get caught up in the atmosphere and always meet new people.
The NI Good Food tent will be looking and smelling pretty amazing and the host of outdoor events will provide great entertainment.
Just a few things to mention – official Paw Patrol characters, pipe band championships, the Nation’s Strongman Competition, Wife Carrying Championships, the first ever Mussel Eating Competition sponsored by The Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy.
The event highlights the unique historic sporting, musical and food cultures of Ireland and Scotland. There’ll be Highland Games, great tasting food, celebrity chef demonstrations, arts and crafts, live music with large outdoor concerts featuring Nathan Carter and The Fureys.
Maybe Greg could lend Sarah his cowboy hat!
So, come along and join us – how much fun can you possibly squeeze into two days. The festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday (July 16 and 16).
