When we started thinking about our new pint glasses, we wanted them to feel like more than just glassware- we wanted them to tell a story, and collaborating with Zippy felt like a natural way to bring that idea to life.
Zippy is an Irish visual artist based in Co.Armagh whose practice spans over murals, illustration and textile art. Known for bold, crisp illustrative style, her work bursts with punchy colour palettes, playful typography, and lively motifs. Drawing inspiration from local wildlife, Irish heritage and strong narratives. She carries a distinctive visual language across her multidisciplinary practice.
To begin the process, Zippy spent time with us in the Mac Ivors Orchards, getting a feel for the landscape and our cider-making.
The design focuses on the synchronicity between the blooming apple blossom, the growth of the apples, and their journey through to cider production. This sense of energy and flow is translated into the design, which flows around the logo, reflecting a sense of harmony and a deep-rooted, hands-on connection to local craft at the heart of what Mac Ivors Cider is.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Zippy for bringing such creativity, care, and character to this project- it’s been a real pleasure collaborating together. We’re incredibly proud of how it’s turned out, and we can’t wait to see these glasses out in the world, and in your hands!
