As a leading Irish craft cider producer, we are SALSA accredited

As a leading craft cider producer in Ireland we are proud to be Salsa accredited

WHEN people hear the word Salsa they think of dancing.

For us we think about food safety.

So, it’s fair to say that we are doing a little dance about being SALSA accredited.

As one of Ireland’s favourite Irish craft cider producers we are delighted with this accreditation. Last year alone, all of our ciders have received awards. We got a silver in Blas na hÉireann for our Traditional Dry and our Plum and Ginger. We have been voted best Artisan producer in Armagh, joint best in Ulster and joint best in Ireland. We have also picked up a Great Taste Awards for our Traditional Dry and Medium ciders and we got a silver medal at the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards.

SALSA is a food safety standard written by experienced food safety experts to reflect both the legal requirements of producers and the enhanced expectations of ‘best practice’ professional food buyers.

The SALSA certification is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard.

So that’s us – Mac Ivors Cider Co! And we are also proud to say we are one of only a few drink producers in Northern Ireland with this accreditation.

The purpose of SALSA is to provide food safety assurance certification and support for small and micro businesses across the UK.

Mac Ivors Cider Co is now listed on the SALSA Directory which is considered a valuable tool for buyers looking to source local products.
